I really wish I would have grabbed them 6% 4 year CD's a year ago. Savings accounts are not paying squat, CD's are way down, Maybe I should just buy more cows than I planned, but as some stated it is Americans borrowing habits that will be each owns downfall. So in a time like this what should a person do that has savings? Invest it, buy land, assets, more cows, keep saving and get what ever return I can, or pull it all out and go buy things I dont need to "stimulate" the economy, then when I have something I really need I get to run to the bank and borrow? The people I sell wood to pay cash by the truck load, every 3 weeks, they have no cash or credit to fill their heating oil tank, informed me they are moving out the 1st of March because they are getting foreclosed on. Yet the both work, have no kids, drive nice vehicle, and are always at the bar, buying a round. Whats wrong with that picture.
