I used to be a honda small motorcycle mechanic way beack when. If thats what has happened, there is no way to fix it unless you take it apart. The camshaft timing will be affected. You could try turning the engine backward (put it in high gear with spark plug out???) to see if whatever is out of place will jump back into correct alignment, this is a long shot though in my opinion. Take it apart and repair it, these engines are really simple to work on.
