I was looking at the Dodge trucks trailer towing capacity table on the internet last night. The highest they showed for a 1 ton dually was 20,000 pounds. It looked like it was a limit other than the truck because it was always the maximum despite different drive trains. There might be something in an SAE standard or most state laws that limits heavier loads. Or a hitch limit that requires a true fifth wheel to get more than that load. I was surprised a couple months ago weigh 40,000 pounds with a JD 4020 and two wagons of corn, but the 4020 pulled it OK. Gerald J.
