Truck is an '08. The tow/haul mode just changes the shift stragety rather than blocking out OD like the older ones did.
They still go up into overdrive and still lock up the converter. The transmission is a 5-speed also, if I remember right.
Shift points are "spaced out" further and hold in OD longer (to keep 'er cool). The downshifts and trailer brake circuits are tied to the computer to give it "engine braking" when ya wanna put the whoas to it.
Feels like a standard transmission without the clutch in the "tow/haul" mode.
I notice that the trasmission runs cooler now, but that turbo boost pressure sure uses the better part of the guage.
Also think there is a short circuit over to the fuel guage 'cause it sure goes down a lot faster than my old 7.3 did. :>)
