We have a '51 dad bought new. It has the hydraulic lift with the cylinder on the left side, as does yours.
Your tractor does not have an eagle hitch.
The DC powerlift was replaced by the hydraulic lift the year hydraulics came out...1949. Eagle hitch came out in 1952. I understand the late '51 castings were designed for the eagle hitch rock shaft, but just had plugs in the holes.
I have heard of people converting those hydraulic lifts to a 3 point. Yours is just that.
