The price of oil is pegged to the worth of the dollar. The dollar isn"t worth much now, on the world market, compared to the Euro,for instance. The Canadaian dollar was worth 67 cents, but is now worth a U.S. dollar, so they come here to buy. Since our dollar is worth less the people with oil want more of them for their product, and prices, to us, go up.
