Allan, I know you are pulling our leg. heck...your twice as smart as most of us. Carry a tool box, jacks, spare tires and extra tie downs. I have hauled all over the states...and I hate chains. Now...don't go to Sears and get cheap straps. Go to a truck stop and pay good money for a set of 4 4" straps. That way you can cinch it down and go for it. Like they said...make sure you take a jack and some blocks in case you gotta move the wheels in and some tape to tie stuff down. I always tape the exhaust pipe and any other holes that might let water in. I usally check to see if the seat will come off in the wind...if it will, I usally throw it in the truck. Heck, why and I saying this...you know what to do. Go for it.....
