If that engine is like the other Jap designs..The block probably isn't hurt..In other engines the main bearings are between the crankshaft and block...On most Jap engines there is a round bearing plate [holder] that has a bolt that locates the bearing plate in the block so the plate won't spin..Not sure if the cam uses bearings[ Deere doesn't on 3 and 4 cylinder engines]..It might just need crank regrind, a rod changed and all bearings / oil pump...Pull the oil pan down and look for a burned bearing cap..Thats the culprit that locked the engine up...
