You're looking at a JD 4020 or the like, near 100 hp, to safely handle them on a bucket. You must want to stack them high to want a bucket, and that takes a heavy tractor & flat ground. This is _not_ light work. The 3-point bale spear is much safer & can use a smaller tractor with weight on the front. If you get a 40 - 50 hp tractor with a bucket, buy a $200 bale spear & use the 3-point for the bales... How many bales are you handling in a year? --->Paul
