Here in our area they price gas all over the board. Those that never complain may pay 75 cents a gallon more than the next door neighbor who complain or found it cheaper.
They buy existing companies and run the customer base into the ground and make money on the ones that stay by charging over priced gas. When the customers in an area won't support the staff they sell and move on to the next.
Our local coop was going to buy a local private gas retailer 3 years ago. We backed out and Ferrell bought it. The private had 4000 customers.
When Ferrell took over they had 4 delivery trucks in the area. They are down to 2 and we had to add one.
In the last 3 years the local coop picked up 750 new customers that were Ferrell. Other companies have picked up a lot of the Ferrell customers also.
We always joke that we are glad we did not buy the company cause we are getting the company one tank at a time. With no blue sky to buy.
