BTW, although the total heat that you put into the part using smaller rod will be less than it would be if you were using a larger rod, the arc temp is still the same, right? Brings us back to the dreaded "localized heating". Let me have your thoughts on this. Sorry I can`t shut up tonight. Must be too much coffee.
