You never know when the love bug is going to bite you. I asked a girl from another school to my senior prom. We had went to the same school for 4 years and I had to finish at another school only 6 miles away. She agreed to go and was working in another state, her family had a home near a river that they spent a lot of time there in the summer.
When I went to pick her up she was a no show and didn't have phones like they do now. So I went home in my tux.
We did get together about a year later after I graduated and started going together. I got drafted into the Army in 1953 and we got married too. Will be married 55 years later this year. Our daughter was born at Ft Bragg NC in 1954. Hal
