When my son was 20, a female friend of his (not a girlfriend) was apparently trying to get closer to him, and she called my wife (the horselady), and said she had a friend that she wanted to take riding- "and maybe Todd can come along so we'll have someone our age to talk to". After the ride, son said, "Well, that was easy- I've just met the girl I'm going to marry, now just gotta make it happen." Only problem was, she was only 16. As far as I know, neither of them ever looked at another as a romantic interest. He proposed to her in his "cap and gown" when he graduated college, and they married 4 years ago. Little Jack is 1 1/2 years old, and they still act like its their first date. Its a great thing if you can find your "soulmate".
