The screws in boots have been there since last winter when Mo. here had a bad ice storm with snow atop it. You can see two screws of 3/8 at bottom of boot. These are them with hex heads. Just screw them in untill it stops. Don't need to go way in. If you want them out.. you unscrew them is all. Once you have use these like this. You will laugh later on . Why didn't I think of that!" lol
