I've had many occasions when I took the time to give detailed responses to questions - only to have them deleted with no warning - all text gone forever. I can't seem to find much rhyme-or-reason to it. I asked several times via email to forum administration, and never got an answer. Anybody know? Is there a list of banned words, technical terms, peoples names, certain website titles, etc.? I was told by a few people that their personal names can't be used here - and I tried it - and it's true - so it seems a few have been "blacklisted" to some degree.
I'm not talking about cursing, or arguing - just certain URLs, names of certain websites (but not all) - even the technical names for a few tractor parts. A while back, and I'd copied a pasted part of a service manual and it kept getting deleted. Found out it was an alternative word for a "fuel shutoff" that was disallowed. (I can't write it or I'll get deleted again).
So, how does a person know when something is going to be blasted - with no warning - by the cyber word-police?
