: : It was interesting to read all the comments on stability of wide front vs. narrow front. You guys all know a lot more about center of gravity and physics than I do. But if there is little or no advantage to a wide front with regard to tipping, why is it that in hilly country almost every farmer with experience prefers the wide front?

: FWIW There is a lot of difference in stability between a wide and narrow front. I don't remember anyone around here (N. Illinois) being killed rolling over a wide front. In fact I can't think of anyone who has rolled a wide front. I can think of 3 farmers who have died rolling a narrow front. Granted none of them had seat belts or ROPS.

Hey Woody,
How does rolling over a CAT equate to all this???
I here all you guys were gettin' a little hungry
out in Lincoln!
