they do make locks/ covers that slide on the lip of the hitch. you slide it on there and take a screw driver to turn it so it won't slide off. then you put your key in and turn it until there is a cover over the screw. only the person wil the key can get it off. but if the theives are that ambitious, tehy will just loop the safety chains around the hitch and hook them onto their vehicle. or if they have a sawzall but what good is that gonna do if ya tryin' to get the trailer.
