You don't change the oil in the pump, just add a few ounces when you change the oil or every 100 hours. This engine is not mechanically related to the larger Ford engines such as as the 8000 or 9000 but rather a small Japanese-made engine. I remember they all seemed the same.
Don't lose the copper gasket when you add the oil and make a small paper funnel to get the oil in the small hole. The wrench size is whatever 11/16 is in metric.
