The old hoe seems pretty stout. It pulled out the MF 245 that got buried to the axle trying to pull out the the MF165 that was buried to the top of the MF insignia on the front ... then it pulled the 165 out. Fix them brakes... Yeah, but I haven't figured out what's wrong with them yet. I know automotive brakes & hydraulics pretty well, and the MF 165 doesn't have any secrets from me... but the JD 400 brakes are a still a mystery... The left one works fine. The right one will pump up and 'hold'.. bled it... still has to pump up... and if you push them both, they both go to the floor ! There doesn't seem to be a fluid level issue as they look like they draw from the main hyd fluid resivoir [sic] in the trans.... Gotta get a manual. I think I posted this question on the JD board.. but didn't get any answers.. I'll try again. bbott P.S. I don't go near the gully anymore.
