My kids wanted to go skating on the pond in the pasture and they came back home and said the ice was thin. I went down there and sure enough it was about an inch. There was also a spot on one side where the cows had broke some ice. I talked to a neighbor and he said he lost one cow in his. The lakes up here [North east MN.] have several inches on them but this is the first that the ponds have not froze more than the lakes. Thin Ice Be Careful Jim WJ
