Alan, That ain't nothing! There are at least 2 bearings on a early model JD 8820 Combine, That were originaly sunspended from baleing wire and the rest of the combine is built around them! These bearings are so deep in the bowels of that combine Only the Lord can get to, or really knows how to get to them. LOL! I can't speak to the difficulty of your project, for I never worked on a Gleaner O Happy Day when we traded that miserable piece of green junk off for a brand new IH 1460, It was twice the machine that 8820 ever hopeed it could be.
