To time the engine after timing belt replacement: 1. Remove the engine (3 bolts, �� socket w/swivel, makes it easier to see) 2. Place a drip pan for oil underneath, and remove the OHC cover 3. Remove the recoil starter, get a 19mm socket to rotate the engine 4. Align the two timing marks on the underside of the cam shaft pulley with the front of the motor. They are approximately at 10 o�clock and 2 o�clock, with 12 o�clock being the spark plug. They are viewed from underneath. 5. Rotate the engine until shaft for the key is facing the front of the motor. Use the bolt heads that run down the center of the bottom of the motor to line things up 6. Clean all the sealant material off the OHC cover. 7. Reseal the cover with Permatex Ultra Grey 8. Install the cover 9. Install the recoil starter 10. Install the engine 11. Top off the oil
