Have a shop saw the plywood for you and figure the rest out. Make it 48 inches wide, which is the width of a sheet of plywood and use somehting like cherry or walnut if you can. If you can find an Amish or other cabinet shop you can have them make the doors for you or better yet have them saw everything and you just assemble.
It's not "just" assemble since 90% of any cabinet job should be in the sanding, finishing and attention to detail.
