The Mrs plowed our Honda CRV into the neighbour's car while backing out one day and caved in the corner of the bumper. Luckily, when we bought the car I cheaped out and got the base model with plain black bumpers instead of the body coloured treatment. That meant I was able to fix it by simply warming the bumper with a heat gun and working it back into shape. Paint never entered into the equation.
Unfortunately it doesn't sound like you're in the same boat. You may want to check out your nearest large auto recycler. Depending on how common the model and colour of your Honda is, you might get lucky and find a bumper assembly for less time, trouble and cost than patching up yours and then having a body shop paint it. If you don't mind driving like that a while, I'll bet something turns up given time.
As for having them do it, I haven't been able to find a shop willing to spend the time on small jobs like that. Most of them just want to replace entire panels with obscenely expensive parts and pass the cost on to you or your insurance co.
