Zerox makes copiers, Zerex makes antifreeze. Any antifreeze will mix. The problem never has been in the mixing of different brands or types, its the use of the antifreeze thats the problem. In fact, many antifreezes are the excat same thing, just a different color, so color doesnt matter at all. Its the chemical makeup of the antifreeze that matters.Ex: John Deeres coolant is made by Zerex, its green, the same thing Ford uses in cars, but gold, Chryslers version is, if I remeber right, orange. Now, the Dexcool is something completely different. I wouldnt use it in my worse enemys cars/truck/tractor.The chemical makeup of it is corrosive, and while it will mix fine with plain jane antifreeze, its not recommended, mainly because the chemical that makes it corrosive, becomes more corrosive, but even thats "over time".Some antifreezes have a more robust "package" in the bottle. These are mainly heavy duty antifreezes, mainly for deisel engines and heavy duty gas engines. Most, if not all of these can be mixed, but if they are mixed with like, plain green antifreeze, then the "package" has been comprimised and it becomes less of heavy duty type antifreeze.
