I think you could pick up the old water drives pretty cheap. They ain`t as fancy as the electrics and reversing them is a pain in the butt, but if your only running a couple towers or they can make a full circle, they`d probably work fine.
I`m about 45-50 miles west of St. Cloud. Center pivot irrigation is huge around here. My FIL rents land from a guy who own alot of hunting land. There`s a complete one sitting out there over CRP ground. I also do alot of work or am friends with alot of the bigger crop farmer in this area, I could do some digging if ya want me to.
