I'm agreeing with you from Allen from Neb. These Eastern folks have never run up against any thing like a "Red Mojave Rattler" or a [Lord help you if you ever get close to one] Black Tailed Rattler. Neighbor lost a good Pack Horse to a Black Tail and my Daughter has lost several Dogs and Cats to Rattlers this year. I have two resident King Snakes and they do a fine job of controlling my area but May to Oct. is a keep your eyes and ears open time of the year. Just this August I saw two rapped around each other on a Dirt road I frequent and I drove my truck wheel up alongside of them and they both avoided the wheel but when I got out of the truck they assumed the position until Mr. Glock took care of them. We had a pretty good cook out that Night and one of them ,thanks to my SIL, is now rapped around a black Resistol with a Pc. of Turquoise as his center pc.
