I'm agreeing with you from Allen from Neb. These Eastern folks have never run up against any thing like a "Red Mojave Rattler" or a [Lord help you if you ever get close to one] Black Tailed Rattler. Neighbor lost a good Pack Horse to a Black Tail and my Daughter has lost several Dogs and Cats to Rattlers this year. I have two resident King Snakes and they do a fine job of controlling my area but May to Oct. is a keep your eyes and ears open time of the year. Just this August I saw two rapped around each other on a Dirt road I frequent and I drove my truck wheel up alongside of them and they both avoided the wheel but when I got out of the truck they assumed the position until Mr. Glock took care of them. We had a pretty good cook out that Night and one of them ,thanks to my SIL, is now rapped around a black Resistol with a Pc. of Turquoise as his center pc. Today's Featured Article - Show Coverage: Argyle and Mt. Pleasant Labor Day Weekend Shows - by Cindy Ladage. The last fling before summer fades into fall and we get busy in the fields are the annual Labor Day tractor shows. Beginning on September 5th and running through the 7th, the Argyle Antique Gas and Engine Show is held at the Argyle State Park. Located in West Central Illinois, the pine forest was the setting for the opening of the 22nd show.
