JD 40 combine small self propelled made 1960-65 for small farms. Probably not common in large acreage areas and never seen in our area. 40 bushel bin, HA115G engine, 8-10 ft. head, 20x26 cylinder, $5465 new back then. I wouldn't give 2K for it today or half that. Same combine was a PTO pull type called a 42 with 9 ft. head made 1961-66. Two cylinder magazine did articles on it and may have back issues yet?
