Were discussed somewhat on the Help Identify page past summer.Many were used in fertilizer plants and succumbed eventually to corrosion in that environment.Don't recall a 4wd,most were front wheel drive with rear steering(similar to forklift).Such rigs were pretty nuch supplanted by advent of skidloaders in the late 60s-early 70s.Company(mfg rights)changed hands 2-3 times over their production span from N Dakota,to MN,to Eau Claire,WI...I have a pretty fair picture of one here somewhere..will post later.

In July of 1998 I was talking to fellow Allis Chalmers collector Mike Schilling about the annual "Gathering of The Orange" AC show coming up in August of 1999. He got this wild idea that we should get a convoy of AC tractors and drive them from Charlotte, Michigan 105 miles to LaGrange, Indiana.
