<< Would you tell me more about the over running clutch?>>

A roller-type overrunning clutch consists, essentially, of an outer-race with a cylindrical inside diameter, an inner-race with ramps and a set of rollers. In order to obtain constant contact between the rollers and both races the rollers are individually spring loaded. This arrangement assures instant action at all running speeds and provides immediate driving action whenever one of the two races rotates with respect to the other in the drive direction...
oh yeah, that's REALLY clear, huh?
In the Sprag-type overrunning clutch, individually spring-energized "sprags" centrifugally lift at high inner-race overrun speeds. When the inner-race over-runs, centrifugal force acts upon the sprags revolving with the inner-race, affecting their center of gravity. The centrifugal force rotates the sprags outward until halted by contact with the inner-race...
Ok, ok, an overrunning clutch works like a ratchet (short, to the point, but not nearly as much fun to write).
