Our Chief Counsel (unfortunately no longer here) was , among other things, an apple enthusiast, and I recall him saying he had an old book (which would probably mean the teens or twenties, if not older) that listed, and briefly described, hundreds of varieties of apples once grown in the US, but if he ever mentioned a title or author I've forgotten. I know I have to do a lot of digging, but I thought I'd ask if anything like that sounded familiar to any apple growers or hobbyists out there. Any comments/suggestions appreciated. Many thxx!! Bud
