Demonstrator were tractors that were painted other than standard colors to draw the buyer's eye. One example would be the IH Farmall Cs, on which the demos were painted white. In later years IH used gold to draw attention to the demos. These wold also have had signs or decals that came with them pointing out particular features.
Search around the site you'll find lots of discussions about them. Most were repainted to regular colors before delivery.
