I never did it but it should work. Our tires have CaCl in them and it worked fine even at -20 or worse. Only thing is, one of the valve stems leaked and the rim rusted near there. Had to have the rim repaired when the tube was replaced. But CaCl is pretty cost effective. If you're gonna use antifreeze and if there are critters around that you care about, propylene glycol based antifreeze (Like Sierra and others) doesn't cost that much more and you'll be spared their death agonies. Ain't pretty, from what I understand, and it doesn't take much ethylene glycol (the regular stuff) to do them in.
