If you'll give me a minute here, I'll crawl up on top of this box....There, I'm ready!
Your point is well articulated/taken. I did not take it personally. I do NOT mean to come across as arrogant or selfish, but anyone can dog my steps all day and they will detect very little waste. While I wouldn't have to, in many ways I live like a pauper. When something actually ends up out by the road at my house, I am confident it would be of NO value to anyone. Our vehicles are both about 20 yerars old and have a total of 400,000 miles on them. I could site numerous more examples.
I agree, America is paying the price for its reckless, extravagant living in the past and present. But what really upsets me is that the responsible/disciplined ones end up holding the bag. Well, the truth is, they couldn't afford them either, and guess who ends up paying the bill? I suppose I kind of strayed from the point, but I sure feel a lot better now.
