Yeah, that's a good point, I'm not sure what he's been running in there, I'll have to ask, and see if that is any help, not sure if he's dealt with this before, always something when it comes to growing crops. I've seen some nice crops out of this same little field, 7 foot stalks, decent ears, more so in summers with lots of rain. Oats, wheat and alfalfa did well there, nice soil in there. Also have to wonder what he used to plant over the years, kind of a neat thought, he's been working that field long since before we owned this place, which is over 40 years now, probably more than 50 for him by now.
Seem to remember the "freeloading" was not so noticeable in years past, the longer it stays up, though, just keep losing more.
