i have recently bought this tractor at auction , apparently it hasnt run in 25 yrs as the old owner had no clue how to get it to idle. upon my stripping and cleaning parts ie tank fuel lines carburetor etc, i managed to egt it to fire up , it ran like a kitten as long as i had the choke pulled right all the way out, when i pushed the choke in tho it wanted to rev to the moon, it ran really nice with no noises or pops or smoke , except for the smoke from to much choking.ive never owned or worked on one before and was wondering if it was a governor problem and how to fix it. the throttle lever does absolutly nothing , except move freeely. any help would b appreiated , even a link on how to fix these things, i wasnt really planning on opening the red thing up without soem form of guidance
