Short block as per post below. Long block with be with the head(s) and with only minor bolt on accessories (starter,generator,carb,etc) will be ready to run. You should always ask exactly what you will be getting as this can vary from rebuilder to rebuilder. With the long block you should get the remaining gaskets from the set but with a short block you will not get the gaskets from most rebuilding sources.
