I believe the 540 had a Continental flathead 4-cylinder engine in it if my memory serves me correctly, probably a 140 or a 162 cubic inch model (doesn't matter, the valves were all the same even if the displacement was different). Go into your yellow pages and find an engine repair shop who handles Continental engines (or their parts) and they can surely get exhaust valves for you. The 550's and 560's had overhead valve engines I think. Those flatheads were also used in a ton of older Massey Harris' as well as in Case V's, and in millions of Lincoln welders as the power unit so you could even call a Lincoln welder dealer. I know for sure the exhaust valve seats are replaceable, and maybe the intakes have inserts (but I'm not sure).
