you can change direction of a starter two ways by switching direction of current flow in eather the feild or armature not both or rotating the brush holders 90 Deg. witch will do same thing . I have done this many times . getting the bendex to work in the wrong direction might be fun or next to impossible . it would be cheaper to buy $300 than to convert one for job time is money .
