seeking tractor show information

I am an FFA advisor and our chapter is thinking of sponsoring a tractor show. I have no idea of how to start or what kind of information is needed to plan a show. What kinds of things attract people to show at or attend a show? What is a good time to have a show? What magazines, newspapers, etc. are dedicated to this topic? Any help you can give will be appreciated.
