If the filters are clogging that fast you ought to try a precleaner on the intake pipe, if possible. There are a couple of different types from the clear bowl to the paddle type and then several brands of each one. The ones I like best art the Centri Precleaners. Their solid stainless, so they look good, and they have a lifetime warranty. I started using them on a customers rock drills about 6 years ago. The filters they use were stopping up with rock dust way too fast. At nearly $150 per filter and one on each of 4 machines, replacing them at such short intervals just wasn't cost effective. I replaced the bowl type precleaners that were origionally on them with the Centri precleaners and it increased their filter life dramatically. An added benefit over the bowl type, that you have to empty, they require no maintenance. Install and forget, it doesn't get any easier. Another thing I like is that going on 6 years later they still look as good as the day I put them on. Granted their not "cheap" but considering the cost of the filters and the extended life you'll get, and the lack of maintenance need- vs- the others, their well worth the price.
