I sharpened the knives and adjusted the shear bar on our 3000 before opening up the 1st corn field, and so far have 52 loads run through without having to readjust (16 1/2 haylage- the rest corn). Still cuts the husk just fine w/out any screens.
We're taking a break becaue we've got a small 2-3 acres field we planted about 1 1/2 months behind the rest, so it's still very green.
