I've said this on-line someplace, hopefully not repeating myself here:
I was built for a 30 hour day. When I wake up, I do not get tired for the next 20 hours or so.
When I fall asleep, I don't want to get up for about 10 hours.
It is very hard for me to operate in a 24 hour standard period. I'm always a little tired, or fighting to try to fall asleep.... Very uneven wake up & go to bed times. I tend to only sleep 3-4 hours for a couple days, then crash & burn for a good 10-11 hour sleep.
I picked corn all day, was up at 7:00am. Good hard work, ear corn picking, one man show, lot of wagon hitching & so forth, picked until 8:00pm. Here it is at 1:20 in the morning, & frankly I am still wide awake.
