Gary--the round barns are a neat piece of history. In SW WI Vernon county, we have 15 of them still standing. All of them were built by the same guy, the son of a slave who escaped to WI via the underground railroad.
Most of the ones he built were out of wood and covered with tile.
There are a few in NE Iowa Allamakee County, right across the river from us.
