i picked up an old minnie moline big mo 500 combination gas tractor for 650.00 came with 2 buckets for the rear, narrow for tile work and a wider one for general use. has a few leaks here and there but not a bad unit. whatever you get, be sure the hydraulics are strong. the rear shovel should be able to lift the rear of the tractor, you need that to re-position when digging. the minnie is a little hard to get parts for, but i have a local machine shop that can fix cylinders and bushings. i prefer the gas motor, it sits a lot, and its easier for me to work on than a diesel. the only thing i dont like about the minnie is the way the rear outriggers are set up. they sit pretty low to the ground, and drag on un even ground. heres a couple pic's
