Ed, Here goes from the begining on up. Start with a basic M, w/ 248 engine & band brakes & monroe shock seat. Them add, 264 engine & disc brakes......Stage I SM to above SM add, Live Hydrolics (distributer driven)& SC seat assembly w/ batt under seat......Stage II SM Then add TA...............................Stage III SM Then refine the above Stage III platform even farther and you have the pinacale of the Super M Series,,,,, the Stage IV SM....AKA....The 400!!!! It looked so fornlorn amongst the lineup of newer equipment. But it was just the right size for my small farm. I stopped in and asked the proprietor for further information.
