On a tractor with a known issue I'd pull the valve cover, oil pan and inspection plate and go to town with carb cleaner.
If you change oil on a regular basis and just want some peace of mind I'd use the flush. Just make sure you use a some stop leak when you refill the pan. The solvents in the flush will dry out seals, the stop leak (I use Eagle) will keep them soft.
