You will have to change the bell housing on your transmission and your motor mounts from car to truck for the 383, My brother is doing the same thing but his is a 318 instead of a 360, hence the 360 and the 318 are the smae block, in a 74 shortbox 2wd. He bought a bell housing from ebay, paid like $250.00 for it. we are having troubles finding the truck motor mounts though, I think I may be able to talk to my local junk man I am sure he has something.
