Buying an old tractor for doing daily chores is not very practical, I would look into a newer one about late 70s to early 90s that is in good condition and low hours. These tractors are almost always diesels and have better parts supplies. I have an 86 Case Orchard model that is quite nice for doing brush hogging it can get into small places under low limbs an turn on a dime with 9 cents change. They run from about 5 to 9,000 but you get a good tractor that will last a long time without a lot of work. Buying an old 40s or 50s tractor and you will spend most of your time looking for parts its nice if you want one to show off at tractor shows and such but not really practical for daily use. I also have two Kubota tractors with buckets and they are nice for using around the farm but are light tractors and will tip easily if not on level ground.
