Get a 9n or 8n ford. I just got done brushogging a 20 acre wheat stubble field with my 9n. It was running a 5 foot JD brushog. We sprayed all the weeds with roundup and I mowed it down to about 4 inches high. Did a nice job and took me about 8-10 hours of total mowing. The fords are the cheapest, most basic, simple to find parts for machine that was ever made. Also very low and stable if you have some small ditches to mow. Get an overunning coupler and go to mowing. Good luck.
